So yesterday I told her to get dressed because we were going to go outside to make a snow man. She was very excited until we got out side. Then her excitement turned in to something like this...
It is true. There was no snow on the ground, but we did have something else all over the lawn! Fall finally came to our part of the country!
So we grabbed the rake, got out the garbage bags, and started filling. We took frequent brakes to play in the leaf piles, but after a while we had (not so) Frosty up and decorated!
We used pipe cleaners for the eyes and mouth. We just poked the ends in to the plastic. We decorated him with a scarf and hat and gloves. I think he's adorable!

hahaha I love it - cheers for linking up this week. For a few minutes I was seriously impressed that you had managed to get a pile of leaves into a snowman shape but your bag/leaf man is even more impressive!
ReplyDeleteOh.. so lovely post :)
ReplyDeleteAnd a cute snowman!!
That would be impressive! Maybe we'll luck out and get to make a real snow man this winter, but I am not going to hold my breath.
ReplyDeleteLOL. I think he's super cute :)
ReplyDeletethat is such a great idea! not to even mention the whole 'being creative at getting chores (like raking and bagging leaves) done' added benefit.
ReplyDeleteLol, so cute! And I love your daughter's expression when she realized you hadn't actually created snow somehow! Thanks for linking up to the Outdoor Play Party!
ReplyDeleteWay to get creative! You accomplished two things at the same time...satisfied your daughter's urge to build a snowman, at least for a little while, and got your yard clean up taken care of!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for joining the outdoor play party this week!
That's HILARIOUS!! Love your makeshift snowman =-)
ReplyDeleteBeth (TGIF)
I love it! We also live in Texas and my preschooler wants to play in the snow (that we don't have) - we might have to make a "snowman" too.
